ALMA Festival 2025
This animation was created for the broadcast of ALMA FESTIVAL 2025. Multishow needed to adapt the festival’s visual identity into an opening ident to signal the beginning of the broadcast, as well as the transitions to and from commercial breaks.
ALMA FESTIVAL is one of the largest rap and trap festivals in Brazil, bringing together music, gaming, sports, and the arts. These pillars were represented through different installations across RioCentro, including skate parks, graffiti walls, gaming tournaments, and, of course, stages featuring some of the biggest names in Brazilian rap and trap music.
My role in this project was to break down the festival’s visual identity and, together with the team — Gabriel Kempers and Roberto Andrews — develop the artistic direction for the animation.
These animations represent the themes of sports and arts, which are two of the festival’s core pillars. Both the boards and the 3D elements were created by me, although the sports board was ultimately not included in the final title sequence animation.
The style frames for approval were created directly in After Effects, while the modeling, texturing, and animation of the 3D assets were produced in Blender.
This project was especially interesting because it gave me the opportunity to create original layouts based on the visual identity guidelines. I also expanded on the use of 3D elements within the visual identity by modeling original 3D assets, with special emphasis on the skateboard and the video game controller.
Creating original layouts and being able to incorporate 3D into my animations always makes me enjoy projects even more.
